MotherDuck MCP Server is an official MCP server from MotherDuck. It lets an AI assistant run SQL analytics on DuckDB files and MotherDuck cloud databases.
Add the URL below as a new MCP server in your AI app’s settings or MCP config file, then sign in when asked. Sign-in: OAuth or MotherDuck token.
https://api.motherduck.com/mcpIt connects an AI assistant to MotherDuck or local DuckDB so it can explore schemas and run SQL. The hosted version also manages data shares and can build interactive visual reports called Dives.
Best for: analysts using DuckDB or MotherDuck
The local server is free and open source under MIT. The hosted server needs a MotherDuck account.
Add https://api.motherduck.com/mcp to your client and sign in, or run uvx mcp-server-motherduck locally.
It can run SQL, list databases, tables and columns and work with DuckDB files, S3 data and MotherDuck.
